Alcoholics Anonymous: Alcoholics Anonymous® is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism (Main Website).
- AA Teen: Alateen is part of Al?Anon Family Groups. Alateen is a fellowship of young Al-Anon members, usually teenagers, whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking.
Charlotte County Addiction and Mental Health Services: Charlotte County provides addiction and mental health services including a range of inpatient, outpatient and community services. Programs are organized in the areas of assessment and crisis intervention, children and youth, adults, seniors, community care, short and long term residential and rehabilitation addiction services.
Gamblers Anonymous: Gamblers Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from a gambling problem (Main Website).
Kids Help Phone: From trouble with homework to dealing with loss and grief to thoughts of suicide, kids can talk to Kids Help Phone about anything. Professional counsellors provide anonymous, confidential and non-judgemental support.
Narcotics Anonymous: Narcotics Anonymous is an international, community-based association of recovering drug addicts with more than 50,000 weekly meetings in 125 countries (National Website).
Portage: Portage Atlantic is a non-profit organisation that was founded in 1995. In 1996, it opened a residential rehabilitation centre for adolescents on the shores of Cassidy Lake, near Sussex, New Brunswick. Over the years, more than 1,600 youth from New Brunswick and other Atlantic provinces have been treated at the 64-bed substance abuse rehabilitation centre.
Ridgewood: Ridgewood Addiction services is a community-based service of the Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation. Professional staff provide a broad range of services to chemically dependent clients, compulsive gamblers, family members and the community. Ridgewood employs a holistic approach to assist clients to achieve a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Sophia Recovery Centre: The Sophia Recovery Centre is a non-residential facility for female youth and women recovering from addiction. Adult women in N.B. do not have access to a long-term treatment program for addictions, a situation which prompted the establishment of the Sophia Recovery Centre. It is the only one of its kind in the province.

Saint John Police – Victim Services: The mission of the VSU is to provide victims, witnesses and their families with professional support to lessen the impact of trauma experienced as a result of crime or other tragic events. The service is available to anyone who has been a victim of a crime or has been otherwise impacted by traumatic circumstances.
Canadian Mental Health Association – Saint John Branch: Responsible for providing services to 120,739 citizens living in the communities of the greater Saint John area, from Grand Bay-Westfield to Hampton.
The Branch is positioned to respond to the needs of an expanding community. Statistics show that one in five members of our community will experience some form of mental illness during their lifetime. Given this figure, the demand for social and community-based services will increase dramatically in response to an anticipated growth of the greater Saint John area. (National Website)

United Way: The United Way’s goal is to provide responsible leadership by identifying and addressing the needs of the community in order to effectively unite people, volunteers and service-providers and to build a stronger, self sufficient community.
